Labyrinth Walking Workshop:

Small Rituals for Grief, Loss... and Revival

Saturday, May 18th @ 9:30-11:30am | $35
@ Oriental Community Labyrinth,
South Avenue, Oriental, NC

Join me in this collaborative workshop co-hosted with Amanda Todd, PhD as she shares her passion for sacred spaces and the art of ritual while we co-create and honor a healing environment for the many themes of grief and loss experienced in the female life-course.  Grief and loss are themes so many women know — but in the wake of these life altering experience, many are left wondering where is the conversation on these topics in our community?  Where is the shared space for processing?

What rituals for grief do we empower women with in our modern culture?... not many.  We can do better.

Whether you grieve the loss of a pregnancy, the loss of a child, the loss of a partner, the loss of self, or the loss of a dream — come, walk with us. Honor the journey of your spirit.

Objectives:

  • Learn what the sacred practice of labyrinth walking is, its origins, and how it is still being done today as a healing and meditative journey.

  • Experience 'the 4 Rs' of the ritual labyrinth walk: Remember, Release, Receive, and Return.

  • Focus your intention for healing and revival while moving through space and time to walk the Oriental Community Labyrinth on a meditative journey.

  • Be in the company of other women as they set forth on a small but significant ritual of healing and revival.

  • Decompress and process your walking experience with a semi-structured reflective writing and drawing practice.
